Biographical Info
Norma Gardner serves as Admin Support Associate at Morgan County Extension Office in North Alabama. She was born in Punto Fijo, Venezuela and came to the US in 1995 to learn English where she met her husband, Daniel. She graduated as Biomedical Technician from Francisco de Miranda University, Venezuela. She also received a Healthcare Interpreter Certificate from Samford University AfterSundown. She worked for Decatur City Schools for 20 years as ESL Secretary/Translator, before coming to work for ACES at Morgan County where she became a Volunteer Master Gardener. She also works as volunteer for Decatur Baptist Church interpreting for Spanish speakers. She is a believer and follower of Jesus Christ and active member of Decatur Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama. She is married to Daniel Gardner and has three children, Jose, Juliana and Rachael. Has three grandchildren, Spencer, Sawyer, and Abigail. She enjoys working on crafts, organizing, working with plants in her garden and flower beds, Bonsai, but most of all, she loves helping others.
