Beatriz Puche Valdayo
Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI-Spanish)Biographical Info
I was born in Spain but raised between Spain and the US.
After obtaining my PhD in Biology, specializing in virology, I worked in the International Department of one of the biggest Hospitals in Seville with duties ranging from Medical Interpreting to Scientific Translation and editing as well as acting as a liaison between our center and different international research centers.
My professional career steered towards Grants Management in Research for the following 7 years at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences in Seville, until I moved back to the US.
After settling down, I decided to get back to work in the interpreting field as it is a broad field in need of professionals. So I got back to my books, started preparing for my Certification and attending every training I could. I now spend my time between interpreting, translating, my family and my foster cats!
